"Women left behind in the Cornish Emigration" proved to be an excellent session last night, with some local input adding to the interest. It was good to have a packed hall.
The St. Piran's Dinner on 5th March is almost fully booked, so if you hope to attend, please contact Mary asap......information on the attachment. On that day, some members will be in Truro for the 1.00pm parade, incl. Valda with the Mullion banner. Of course, most of the towns have events on, and the usual parade across the dunes takes place at Perranporth, on the Sunday, 4th March, 1.30pm for 2.00pm. This goes to the Oratory and the old church site, led by St Piran, his animals, the Falmouth Marine Band, and hundreds with Cornish flags waving. Great spectacle, followed by song, poetry, and comedy from Bert Biscoe and Pol Hodge. Well worth a visit! Google in for further details.....and in Mullion, flags will fly!
Please contact Tom Symons(firstname.lastname@example.org) if interested in the trips to Hayle Foundry or/and Levant Mine.
Please contact Valda Sloan(email@example.com) or Clive Hobbs (cliveand firstname.lastname@example.org) if interested in the trip to SE Cornwall/Mount Edgcumbe.
